Chevron Cross

How to Make

Items Needed:  2 Wooden Crosses, paint, painters tape, wood glue, a screwdriver, and a decorative knob

First, paint the two crosses. To get the chevron pattern I used the following super helpful website: http://my-house-my-home.com/2013/03/08/easy-way-to-do-a-chevron-pattern-on-anything/
Second, once the paint is dry then use wood glue to glue the two crosses together.  It is best if you put something heavy on top of the crosses and leave it there overnight until glue is dry.  Third, use a screwdriver to screw a hole in the middle of the cross for the decorative knob to stick through. You may need to cut the end of the knob once it is through so it doesn't stick out behind the back of the cross.

Count Your Blessings Picture Board

How to Make

Items Needed: Blank Canvas, scrapbook paper, small clothes pins, decorate flowers, Mod Podge glue, black paint,  stick on letters

First paint the canvas black, then while it is drying cut out scrapbook paper to use behind 4x6 photos.  Once the glue is dry, put the Mod Podge glue on the back of the paper and place onto canvas.  Next, cut the scrapbook paper for the background of the letters and stick the letters onto paper. Use the Mod Podge to glue it down.  Then, mod podge over the whole canvas (expect over the letters) to secure the paper down.  After that is dry, hot glue the small clothes pins and decorative flowers onto the canvas.

My inspiration for this craft came from the following website:

Teacher Wreath

How to Make

What you need for the Wreath: a wire wreath, pipe cleaners, zip ties, ribbon, and one wide roll of Deco Mesh.  The size of the wire wreath depends on how large you want your wreath to be.

For detailed instructions on how I made the wreath click on the following link: http://www.clumsycrafter.com/2012/03/deco-mesh-wreath-tutorial/

I used this link to make the wreath but decided to add decorative ribbon by zip tying and wrapping it around the wreath.  Then, I hot glued crayons down onto a wooden letter A.  I stapled ribbon to the back of the letter then zip tied it to the wire wreath.  The letters on the rulers are stick on and were easy to work with.  The rulers were then hot glued onto the letter.

Yarn Letter Wreaths

How to Make:

What you need: a wooden letter, yarn, decorative flowers, and ribbon.  First I wrapped the wooden letter with the yarn.  The first time I started wrapping the yarn I hot gluded it down and continued to hot glue every once in a while to secure it down.  Once the whole letter is wrapped, I hot glued or clipped the flower/flowers onto the letter.  Lastly, I tied a bow with the ribbon and stapled it to the back with a heavy duty staple gun.

Canvas & Scrapbook Paper Wall Art

How to Make the Wall Art:

This was a fun project and looks super cute when it's all done!  First, I painted a blank canvas black.  While the paint dried, I used different sized leaf cut outs, that I printed off the internet, to trace onto the back of scrapbook paper.  Next, I cut out the the traces of leaves on the scrapbook paper and strategically placed them on the board after it dried.  Then, I used Mod Podge to glue down each piece.  About 30 minutes later, I used a sponge brush to cover the entire canvas with Mod Podge to seal it.  I put a second sealer coat on again after the first coat dried.
